Services & Fees

You can choose just a 1-off session and then decide if you want to work longer-term at weekly, fortnightly or monthly intervals. It might be a matter of balancing finance or other commitments and it is important that your therapy sessions don’t add to your stress.

Walk & Talk Therapy

This is counselling outside. I offer this as walks in local woods or on the Somerset Levels where you can choose between walking the Levels or spending time near the horses at Horsehaven.

ONLINE COUNSELLING is available via a secure and confidential online platform (Zoom)

Equine-assisted therapy

Involves a horse, a therapist and a horse expert. Together with my team, I work with individuals or groups to help them discover more about themselves and develop new ways of thinking. The role of the therapy team is to guide the individual or group along the way, encouraging them to reflect on their experiences and what it means to them. After an initial consultation, a set of exercises will be carried out according to the needs of the person/s taking part. Equine-assisted therapy can help with many issues and is considered to be especially helpful for those who want to change elements of their behaviour.

What happens in an equine therapy session?

There is no horse riding involved, and if you don’t want to – you don’t even have to touch the horse. Various exercises are set up to help you think and act in ways you may not have thought of before. Normally the exercises will require you to interact with the horse; you may be asked to lead the horse over a series of obstacles or to lead it in a certain direction – often without the aid of a lead rope. This kind of exercise requires a creative way of thinking and may force you to reconsider the way you act. The horse expert will be on hand to ensure everything is safe, however, you will not be told how to complete your task – it is up to you to explore different methods.

Equine Assisted Therapy sessions start at £75

Therapeutic Hypnosis helps with anxiety and stress. It is also an excellent tool to change behaviours, such as smoking. You don’t have to lie on a couch and you don’t even have to have your eyes closed. Hypnosis is simply a state of deep focus, not sleep.

I offer hypnosis to anxious counselling clients but you can also book separate hypnosis sessions.

At no point is there any need to choose one above the other permanently. You can try things out and together we can work out the best option for you.
